I think we should be doing more to understand Islam as a religion and way of life
Let's be more understanding and less judgemental of everyone. That's alway been our problem
....watch the video, what if we were to substitute the word islam (in the video) for watchtowerism.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcbptzalqfy.

guys... can you believe this???
this is a current article available on the "official watchtower web site"!!!.
"do the jehovah's witnesses believe that their religion is the only true one??
Millions that have lived in centuries past and who were not Jehovah's Witnesses will come back in a resurrection and have an opportunity for life.
Millions? Really? As discussed in another thread, there have been over 100,000,000,000 (that's 100 BILLION) people who have ever lived on Earth.
I wonder who didn't make the cut
when i look back at history, i see the great lengths people have gone to, to prove their devotion to god and to carry out what they though to be his will.. do you think the watchtower organization is truly trying to deceive people and cover things up or do you think they are honestly misguided or mistaken in some of their beliefs and policies ?
if so, what purpose would they have for doing this?.
Both
Some are misguided with good intentions. Their motive is to help humanity find it's way to salvation
More, especially the ones in power, are deceptive. Their motive is power, control and money

it's still a great analogy.

Congress will not, however, pass a "comprehensive" solution until the border is sealed and the existing Federal laws are enforced.
And well they shoudn't. Thus the need for SB 1070

other places already have arizona law.
by harold pease - july 23, 2010. if anyone wonders how the new arizona illegal immigration law, coming on board july 29, will affect arizona, they need only to look at prince william county, virginia.
Ahh, beksie. I didn't read the VA law as closely as I should have. I still haven't, so I'll take your word for it
Being that Virginia is a little further away from Mexico than Arizona is, and that Virginia doesn't have tens of thousands of illegal immigrants crossing it's border every year...bringing violent crime, drugs and a drain on taxpayers and state economy with them...I totally support the difference in the two laws.
That said, I have a question for you, beksie. Do you support the authorities checking the immigration status of a person in custody, as you suggest is written into Virginia law? And just to satisfy my curiosity, would you kindly explain your position on illegal immigration?

Many of them serve in needed jobs, jobs that most Americans would not do. And if those jobs should start paying higher wages who is going to go quietly to market and pay the higher prices
I understand the point. I also understand that what you're saying is that America would struggle economically without slave labor
Didn't we settle this issue in 1865?

The best thing about the AZ anti-Hispanic legislation is that all of the racist Crackers have taken off their masks and revealed themselves.
Get a haircut, first. See an optomotrist, second. Attempt to think, third.
It's how things get done

But I have yet to read how those illegally in this country who work in the fields picking whatever will be replaced?
Do you realize that those illegal immigrants are slaves? They are working for whatever their employers want to pay them, in most cases less than the legal federal minimum wage. Who are they going to tell? They are slaves to their employers, and if you support illegal immegration, you support legal slavery
Will American citizens fill the gap when it comes to picking the fields and doing the low pay manual labor?
Maybe, maybe not. If nobody wants to pick, the wages of picking will go up. The illegals can work those same jobs, as long as they become legal. What part of that can't you understand?

Hmmmm... well, whereYOU been, dear DarkSide (peace to you!)? Because it's nothing new and I have stated that here for quite some time, now...
If you want to have a discussion, you have to be understandable. For me, that means english. I can't work with you any other way.
So, there you go...
